Our Heritage
Roundtree Financial: A Heritage And Commitment To Genuinely Caring
When Dan Roundtree founded Roundtree Financial over 45 years ago, he didn’t envision your typical financial planning practice. Instead, his vision encompassed a company that would go beyond mere financial services and become a trusted partner for clients.
After attending UCLA and receiving a degree in social psychology, Dan wanted to find a career where he could help people, and discovered financial planning. He then earned his CFP® certification from California Lutheran University and began working in the industry, where he met many key mentors who heavily influenced his attitude towards financial planning.
Early in his career, Dan realized the positive impact a dedicated financial planner can have on not just a client’s finances, but their life as a whole. Clients deal with all types of life events ranging from the birth of a child, to the death of a loved one, to marriage and divorce. All of these events affect clients deeply, and Dan understood the need to emphasize the human side of his practice, as well as the psychology of both challenging and prosperous life events. By understanding a client’s needs and empathizing with their situation, Dan was able to provide a sense of confidence alongside financial security, while helping clients navigate the complexities of wealth management, investment strategies, and retirement planning.
Dan’s unique approach to financial planning allowed him to create a network of lifelong clients, who he viewed, and still views, as family. No matter the situation, financial or personal, Dan was just one call away from his clients, and knew the important role he played in his clients’ lives. To Dan, this is what it means to be trusted partner.
